Data and provenance
Data is only useful when its origin remains visible.
Identity, current state, events, faults or usage context may exist for some connected appliances. Availability and meaning vary by brand, model, account and authorised interface.
Five families not to blend
A useful report distinguishes device identity, current state, timestamped events, reported codes and added interpretation.
Normalise without erasing origin
A common ‘state’ field can make multi-brand reading easier only if manufacturer, source, time and original value remain attached.
Missing data is information
Not connected, not authorised, not exposed, not retained and unknown are different conditions.
RepairGraph currently claims neither complete multi-OEM coverage nor a production integration.
